... of the year 2020

It starts with a single email

Without nominations from our members, there would be nothing.

2019 Winners

These are the great pubs and clubs that have won in 2019

CIDER PUB OF THE YEAR 2020

Nominations are now open

Once again the time has come round to nominate your favourite CIDER & PERRY Pub of the Year. Any Bradford Branch CAMRA member is able to nominate. Any pub within the branch area that sells Real Cider or Perry is eligible. Things to consider are for example: the quality & consistency of the product, alignment with CAMRA principles, service, cleanliness etc.

Please send details of your chosen pub to [email protected] by the end of January 2020. You MUST include your name, valid CAMRA number and a reason for the nomination.

The two pubs with the most nominations will be visited by the judges during February and evaluated according to the National Judging Criteria. The winning pub will go through to the Regional Competition & if successful go through to the National Competition. So your local vote is very important.

CLUB OF THE YEAR 2020

Nominations are now open

All members.  We now need nominations for Bradford CAMRA Club of the Year by Midnight on 31.1.2020.

The criteria is the same as for the Pub of the Year – beer quality, atmosphere, welcome, service, cleanliness and alignment with CAMRA principles.

Although all clubs will have some restrictions due to the very nature of a club license CAMRA members and real ale drinkers should be welcome.

Nominations should be either passed to, or emailed to the Clubs Officer, Josie Boothroyd at

[email protected]

Nominations should include the name of the club, membership number and the reason you think it should be Club of the Year.

The two clubs with the most nominations will then be visited by judges with the winner going through to the Regional Competition.

PUB OF THE YEAR 2020

Nominations are now open

Well folks the time has come to nominate your 3 favourite pubs for the coveted Pub of the Year 2020 award.   This is the highest accolade Bradford CAMRA has to offer and any pub that serves Real Ales and Real Cider can win it.

So why not make a Landlord/Landlady’s day by nominating their pub?

“It Starts With A Single Email”.  In this day and age, you can email while waiting for a train, on the toilet or even in the pub you are nominating…. it’s just 5 minutes work.  Yes, I know, you could spend those 5 minutes looking at kittens.  But would the Landlord/lady be happy looking at kittens… yes they would, but they’d be happier with a Pub of the Year Plaque on their wall and a chance to be the best pub in Yorkshire, if not the UK.

The all important email address….  [email protected]

OK RULES…

You can nominate up 3 pubs.  Please order them in preference, with #1 being the best.
YOU MUST INCLUDE YOU NAME AND CAMRA MEMBERSHIP NUMBER… it’s on the card.
Pubs MUST sell Real Ale (Real Cider is optional, but Real Ale is a must)
Pubs must be in the Bradford CAMRA area
Electronic nominations will only be accepted at the email address above.
Nominations close 31st Jan 2020

Once nominations have closed, we get to work, by judging the pubs with the most nominations.  We judge using the national guidelines that all CAMRA branches adhere to.  Quality of beer, cleanliness, atmosphere, service etc.

At the end of this process, they will be a Overall Winner, a Inner or Outer Bradford winner (dependent on if an Inner or Outer pub is the overall winner), a Inner Bradford Runner Up and an Outer Bradford Runner Up.

Again, that all important email address is [email protected]

THE GOOD BEER GUIDE 2021

Nominations now open

A High Street catalogue shop says their catalogue is a book of dreams. We all know they are wrong. The Good Beer Guide is the book of dreams and we want you to nominate what goes into it.

What pubs shows the Bradford’s beer scene at it’s best? What pub should someone from London visit?

Know the answer? Then let us know!

You can nominate up to 20 pubs… Imagine you’re on a pubcrawl in the Bradford CAMRA area, what pubs would you visit?

Write down your list on an email and send it to [email protected]
