Well, it’s not exactly more mundane, but inevitably a POTS is never the same as a POTY. Nevertheless, it’s an award definitely worth pursuing. Many fine Bradford pubs have won the handmade plague over the years, and so it is again.

Adrian is happy with his work; manager Sami Foster likes with the award.

The Hop in Saltaire was formerly the Old Tramshed, and is was formerly on the infamous Saltaire roundabout. The name has changed to comply with owner Ossett Brewery’s branding, and the roundabout has been transformed into another form of holding up the traffic.

Sami Foster and Wendy Harris are the management team, they look after the cellar and do a great job.

The Hop always has an excellent range of beers from Ossett and elsewhere. It has a good kitchen, which now sports a proper pizza oven. The pub is an airy and welcoming space, with huge windows where the trams used to enter and exit.
