Right now we consider that our area has a sufficient number of pubs promoting, and hopefully selling lots of, real cider and perry to make an award appropriate.
In recognition of this, Bradford branch has held its first proper competition this year. The winner is a pub which has been offering the real stuff for many years, and so has built up a good following. That’s because it has been going a long time, possibly, and there are other pubs now taking cider seriously.
But we don’t make it around here, do we? Er, tell that to Grumpy John. He’s the one in between our Peter Down and Sue from the Fighting Cock, and he makes a mean cider or two
